It's a circular vent hole in disguise. It allows for ventilation with better coverage of the product when a circular or crescent vent hole will not work. Vent Hole Bags are created by using a small circular punch that has been divided in half so that two crescent shaped vents are puncted all the way through both sides of the bag.
